Irrigation Technical Support Engineer - South

National role – field based, based from home - to cover specified customer area in the South of England

As an Irrigation Technical Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting customers, installers and partners across the Commercial and Golf sectors, working with the industry‑leading Toro irrigation range and Otterbine lake management products.

We are currently recruiting for an Irrigation Technical Support Engineer, who will be responsible for providing customer, installer and product support for our Commercial & Golf Automatic Irrigation systems, their system components and full installation projects. Reesink UK are the exclusive distributor for the UK for the world leading range of Toro irrigation systems, as well as the Otterbine Lake Management products, therefore you will be responsible for supporting the best irrigation systems in the UK.

 

This is a field-based role which will support our project and clients across the South of the UK. The role will include regular travel to our customer sites, which may also require overnight stays.

 

If you’re new to the Irrigation industry but ready for a fresh challenge, we’d still love to hear from you. If you’ve previously worked as a Service Technician or Engineer in another field and have transferable skills, this could be an exciting next step. Full training will be provided, giving you the opportunity to build your expertise and grow into the role. About the role:

The role will see you providing hands‑on technical support across full installation projects, system components and automatic irrigation systems, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and professionally.

 

You’ll use your strong communication, problem‑solving and analytical skills to guide customers, collaborate with colleagues, and deliver high‑quality solutions. With a focus on customer service, teamwork and continuous improvement, you’ll help drive innovation, uphold our standards, and strengthen Reesink UK’s reputation as a trusted technical expert in the field.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide mobile technical support to customers, installers and key partners across Commercial and Golf Automatic Irrigation systems.
     

  • Support full installation projects, offering guidance on system components, configuration and best‑practice setup.
     

  • Respond to technical enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and to a high standard.
     

  • Deliver product support and troubleshooting for Toro irrigation systems and Otterbine lake management products.
     

  • Work closely with installers to ensure systems are installed correctly and operating at optimum performance.
     

  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and a collaborative approach.
     

  • Use strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to diagnose faults, recommend solutions and prevent repeat issues.
     

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including service reports, visit notes and technical findings.
     

  • Provide training to dealers, installers and operators to enhance product knowledge and system performance.
     

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing insights, identifying recurring issues and supporting innovation.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience of working in a field-based engineering role (in any sector), with a recognised qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
     

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability, with a talent for diagnosing issues and identifying practical solutions.
     

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and confidently.
     

  • Professional and articulate presence, able to engage effectively with customers, installers and colleagues at all levels.
     

  • Flexible and adaptable approach, comfortable working in a changing environment and able to think proactively and strategically.
     

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with the ability to produce clear reports, documentation and communications.
     

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, staying organised and focused in a fast‑paced role.
     

  • Collaborative team player, contributing positively to shared goals and supporting colleagues when needed.
     

  • Naturally solution‑driven, with a commitment to delivering high‑quality outcomes for customers and the business.
