General operative

As a General Operative in our small and busy team, you’ll provide an excellent support to both internal colleagues and our customers on a daily basis and a timely manner. This multifaceted role comes with full training, and numerous development opportunities within the business.
You will be required to carry out a range of practical tasks assisting the team in the day to day running of the branch. An interest in machinery would be an asset to this role, as well as previous experience of working in a warehousing environment.
The role

Goods Inwards: checking supplier’s deliveries against delivery notes, locating in the warehouse and receiving on to our in-house computer system.

Conduct stock rotation and reconciliation.

Enter data using the in-house company computer system.

Picking and packing of parts orders daily, ensuring timely shipping to meet customer expectations.

Cleaning the warehouse and yard area as required.

Loading the goods onto trucks for shipping.

Adhere to the Company’s policies and procedures.

Effective support of the management of health & safety within the department, ensuring safe systems and work practices are observed.

A continuous development attitude and approach is required to personal development & skills training, attending internal and supplier training events and meetings related to department activities, as required.

Any additional tasks required by the business.
